Our story

Orient Innovations started in 2014 as a medical billing service for independent practices in southwest Ohio. Our founder had already spent decades writing healthcare software, including an electronic medical record used by ambulatory and hospitalist practices and a patient portal that patients still use every day. Running billing for real practices taught us what the software was missing.

So we built it. ClinoraSys packages the tools our own billers use, encounters, claims, remittance posting, credentialing and expiry alerts, into a subscription any practice can start this month, with its own database and a Business Associate Agreement included.

In 2026 we turned to a different problem: hospital workers are injured more often than anyone else in private industry, and the national surveillance network that once let hospitals compare their numbers had been shelved. Working with the physician-researcher who designed that network, we rebuilt the method as HIPS, the Hospital Injury Prevention System. HIPS is incubated at Orient Innovations today and will grow into its own company as the hospital network grows.

• Plain pricing. Monthly subscriptions with no setup fee and no long contract. We would rather earn your renewal every month.
